Leather Jacket Love Story - B Adorable 18-year-old blonde boy Kyle has just graduated high school and is deep into trying to figure out what he wants to do with the rest of his life. He’s a poet who’s never published or shared his work much, but he’d like to. He’s also sick of hanging around the rich areas of Hollywood and sleeping with the snobs. The answer? Move to a less than stellar part of town and experience some life. That’s going to mean dealing with a snobby coffeehouse counter person, a number of hysterical drag queens and also the stud of his young dreams. While Kyle is working on his poetry one afternoon, 30-year-old hunky carpenter Mike walks through the door and captures his eye as well as his libido. What’s a young twink to do? Land his man, of course! What does an 18-year-old boy from the valley and an older guy have in common? That’s what “Leather Jacket Love Story” attempts to discover. Sure, there’s some great sex between them, but where one man’s journey in the world is already underway, the other’s is just beginning and that’s going to cause some tension. “Leather Jacket Love Story” was directed by b-film guru David DeCoteau, a major player in Full Moon Video’s lineup of talent. Oddly enough, DeCoteau has been delivering some extremely homoerotic films for a while now, only claims that it has never been his intention to do so. Sorry, but, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Anyway, there’s plenty of beautiful twinks, hunky studs, bare flesh and a bit of reality thrown in for good measure. Sure, the acting tends to border on anywhere from sincere to completely over the top and the budget isn’t the biggest in the world, but the actors make their scenes count and the script is fairly fun. This is definitely an off the beaten path kind of film, but it’s ultimately and oddly entertaining. |
