Will & Grace (Season 2 Episodes 1-4) (DVD Review) - A-
By Kage Alan

As last we left our group, gay lawyer Will and best friend interior designer Grace have decided to live apart since neither of them have done a decent job of moving on in life with their own personal romantic relationships. Meanwhile, gay best friend Jack is still married to Karen’s maid, Rosario. All caught up? Good.

“Guess Who’s Not Coming To Dinner” finds Grace now living just across the hall from Will and still driving him crazy. In an effort to show that she doesn’t need him for every little thing (especially since he accuses her of just that), she invites mutual friends over to a picnic to celebrate her independence. Can anyone smell disaster? Karen can’t because she’s toasted. Jack also moves in with Rosario so that the marriage looks legitimate. In “Election,” Grace can’t get any satisfaction with the President of the Board of Tenants (Will), so she decides to run against him and his snobby attitude. Jack also has a bad time when Karen accidentally lets his pet parrot out.

“I Never Promised You An Olive Garden” explores what happens when Will and Grace decide to ditch their square friends Rob and Ellen to hang out with a wild and crazy couple who enjoy Dim Sum, all-night parties and rock concerts. When Karen gets a call to attend a parent/teacher conference, she cons Jack into going with her. Could he possibly find a kindred spirit in a place that holds terrible memories for him? In “Polk Defeats Truman”, Will decides to drop the majority of his clients in order to take care of his biggest account, Harlin Polk. Unfortunately, much to the dismay of Will’s ego, Harlin cuts him loose. Grace ends up taking it upon herself to help Karen learn how to curb her spending habits with hilarious results.

This is available on DVD from Region 2 in England. North American players with the ability to read multiple regions of the world will be able to read it while our regular players will not.
